Iā€™m Merritt, the one you would be working with. SIMPLY KEPT was born for the purpose of promoting more productive and intentional living. A huge supporter of sustainable lifestyle practices, I believe in shaping spaces that promote functionality, discourage waste, and nurture personal flourishing. I maintain a strong appreciation for style, art (check out my photography), and design.

I spent several years involved in the world of non-profits, working with people in sensitive circumstances and assisting with unique needs. Professional organizing merges my appreciation for space with a concern for holistic wellbeing. My advanced degree comes from Duke with much attention given to ethics, social and environmental justice, counseling, and cross-cultural care. I have an undergraduate degree in Sociology from Furman University which initially helped me attune to social conditions and inspired me to nurture intentional lifestyle choices. These studies and experiences have shaped my empathetic and attentive support of clients. I also follow the professional ethics set by the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO). 

I live in Chapel Hill, NC with my husband and young daughter. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, gardening, walking, reading, and meandering through local farmers markets. We also love visiting the beach.
